War on Women will performing an acoustic set.

Baltimore’s War On Women have been riotous and outspoken since the first day of their formation in 2011.  The band screams and shreds about topics such as women’s rights, trans rights, rape culture, street harassment, the gender wage gap, abortion, and other vitally pertinent social issues.  In 2015, War On Women released their debut self-titled full-length album (Bridge Nine) to great critical acclaim, receiving praise from publications like The New York Times, Newsweek, Noisey and countless other outlets.  The band went on to tour the globe relentlessly in support of the album alongside bands like Refused, Propagandhi, Anti-Flag and more.

Now, War On Women will kick off 2018 with a ferocious new album, festival appearances, club shows, and workshops as well.  The band’s existence couldn’t be any more poignant; with America’s current sociopolitical climate, the timing is more important than ever to bring these stories into the forefront of heavy music. Vocalist Shawna Potter commented, “We are more focused than ever before, and have found inspiration from everyone that has been fighting to RESIST.”

Look for more news from War On Women and their soon-to-be-announced sophomore full-length to come soon from Bridge Nine Records.
