Yuriel “Michel’le” Young was born and raised in Oakland, California, where her passion to entertain started with her training in African, Contemporary, Jazz, Hip-Hop, and Tap dance at the ripe age of 8. She began performing at age 16 and has been growing into the magnificent household name we know her as today.
Michel’le, in pursuit of her dreams, moved to Los Angeles in 2004 where she worked hard and dedicated herself to her craft and passion. Obtaining her Cosmetology License in 2007, she has become a staple in the entertainment scene and entered the Ballroom Scene in ADD DATE where she is currently deemed Legendary both nationally and internationally. Michel’le has shown her capability to be a fantastic exciting performer, model, both hair and fashion stylist, designer, and humanitarian. Her passion doesn’t cease within the entertainment industry but also falls into the realms of activism with HIV/Aids and STDs prevention. After seeing the effects of the epidemic STD/STI infections have had in the Ballroom scene she is highly instrumental in encouraging others to get tested, knowing there status, and seeking treatment.
