Rock Photographer Erik Kabik began his photography career in the 1990's as a teenager shooting in the pit at Grateful Dead concerts when long-time Grateful Dead publicist Dennis McNally gave him his first break.
Erik earned his degree in Communications with an emphasis in Photojournalism, from Southern Oregon University. He relocated to Las Vegas where he combined his love for music and photography and has been documenting the live music scene in Vegas for over 20 years.
Erik shoots major headliners as a house photographer for multiple concert venues and music festivals while continually seeking out the underground and emerging artists in the vibrant and growing Las Vegas music culture. His work has been published by Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly and SPIN and was on display at John Varvatos stores in New York City, Las Vegas and Los Angeles as part of a curated exhibit, Classic Rock For The Future: Vol. 1. Erik's photo coverage for Carlos Santana, The Killers, Tiesto, Shakira, Kiss and Joe Bonamassa has landed his images on Album covers, books, tour posters and merchandise.
Erik’s passion is rock and roll photography but his work expands into travel, celebrity, pop culture, news, architecture and food and beverage.
